Tracking & Conversions
One of the biggest challenges with influencer marketing is knowing if it's actually working. Did anyone click? Did anyone buy? EZTalent gives you multiple ways to track exactly what your campaigns are generating.
This guide covers all the tracking tools available to you: tracking links, promo codes, promo landing pages, and manual conversion entry.
The Tracking Link
Every campaign automatically gets a unique tracking link. This is a short URL that redirects to your product page while counting every click.
How It Works
- When you create a campaign, you enter your product URL (where you want people to end up)
- EZTalent generates a short tracking link like
eztalent.app/c/abc123 - The influencer shares this link (or you give it to them)
- When someone clicks it, they're redirected to your product URL
- Every click is counted and shown in your campaign analytics
Where to Find Your Tracking Link
Once your campaign is created, you can find the tracking link in the campaign details page. There's a copy button to easily grab it.
The influencer also sees this tracking link in their dashboard once they accept the campaign. They get a QR code version too, which is handy for Stories or video content where people can't click links.
What You Can Track
The tracking link automatically records:
- Total clicks - How many people clicked the link
The tracking link counts clicks automatically. But to track actual conversions (purchases), you'll need to either use promo codes or set up the conversion API on your website. More on that below.
Promo Codes
Promo codes are a simple but powerful way to track conversions. If someone uses a code at checkout, you know exactly which campaign drove that sale.
Setting Up a Promo Code
When creating your campaign, you can add a promo code in the campaign form. Enter the code exactly as customers will type it (like SUMMER20 or SAVE15).
Once the campaign is active, the influencer sees this promo code in their dashboard and can share it with their audience.
Tracking Promo Code Sales
EZTalent doesn't automatically know when someone uses your promo code - that happens on your website (Shopify, WooCommerce, etc.). But you can track these sales in two ways:
- Manual entry - Log into EZTalent and manually enter the number of conversions and sales amount (see below)
- API integration - If you're technical, you can use our conversion API to automatically report sales (contact us for details)
Promo Code Tips
- Keep it simple - Short codes are easier to remember and type.
SAVE20is better thanSUMMERSALE2026LAUNCH - Make it unique per campaign - Use different codes for different influencers so you can track who drove what
- Consider personalized codes - Codes like
SARAH15(using the influencer's name) feel more personal to their audience
Promo Landing Pages
Want something fancier than just a promo code? You can create a promo landing page for your campaign. This is a branded page hosted on EZTalent that showcases your product and promo code.
What's on a Promo Landing Page?
Your promo landing page includes:
- Your brand name and logo
- Product image
- Product name and price
- Product description
- The promo code (with a copy button)
- A "Shop Now" button that goes to your product URL
How to Create a Promo Landing Page
When creating or editing your campaign, look for the "Landing Page" option. You'll need to provide:
- Product name
- Product image URL
- Product price
- Product description
Once enabled, your landing page will be available at a URL like eztalent.app/promo/YOURCODE.
Landing Page Analytics
The promo landing page tracks:
- Page views - How many people visited the page
- Code copies - How many people clicked the "copy" button for the promo code
- Shop clicks - How many people clicked the "Shop Now" button
You'll also see conversion rates - what percentage of visitors copied the code or clicked through to shop.
Viewing Your Analytics
Once your campaign is active, you can see all your tracking data in the campaign details page:
- Clicks - Total clicks on the tracking link
- Conversions - Number of sales/signups (if you're tracking them)
- Sales - Total dollar amount of sales (if you're tracking them)
If you set conversion targets or sales targets when creating the campaign, you'll also see progress toward those goals.
Manual Conversion Entry
If you're tracking sales through your own systems (like Shopify's promo code reports), you can manually enter conversion data into EZTalent.
How to Enter Conversions Manually
- Go to your campaign details page
- Look for the conversions/analytics section
- Enter the number of conversions
- Enter the total sales amount (in dollars)
- Save
This is especially useful when:
- You gave the influencer a unique promo code and can see how many times it was used
- You're running campaigns where you manually track results
- You want to update your campaign analytics before settling with the influencer
Even though payment is based on the agreed budget (not performance), tracking conversions helps you understand your ROI and make better decisions about future campaigns. If one influencer drives 50 sales and another drives 2, you know who to work with again!
What the Influencer Sees
Once an influencer accepts your campaign, they see all the tracking tools they need in their dashboard:
- Tracking link - The short URL to share, plus a QR code
- Promo code - If you set one up
- Promo landing page link - If you enabled one
- Direct product link - Your original product URL
This makes it easy for them to share the right links and codes with their audience.
Best Practices
- Always use the tracking link - Even if you're also using promo codes, the tracking link gives you click data
- Use unique promo codes per influencer - This lets you see exactly who drove which sales
- Check your analytics before settling - Review the results before approving payment so you have a clear picture of performance
- Consider landing pages for bigger campaigns - They look more professional and give you more data
